Craig Sean Palacios Architect

Craig is a practitioner and academic of building science. In practice Craig has worked on the design teams of a number of projects globally. Craig is a consultant for Sellen Sustainability a national sustainability firm. Craig directs project design and construction to accomplish sustainable goals such as LEED certification and reduced environmental impact. He travels the country delivering training and lectures on sustainable design and construction practices. Craig regularly teams with other architects, interior designers and artists in global design competitions. One of Craig’s notable projects is the prototype for the Temporary Emergency Shelter Unit (TESU) and is currently negotiating the production of the TESU with a renowned furniture manufacturer.
In academia Craig is an architectural historian, university instructor, lecturer and writer. He received an associate's degree with an emphasis in studio art from Seattle Central, dual undergraduate degrees in Art History and Architecture and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Nevada Las Vegas School Of Architecture. Currently he is an adjunct professor at the UNLV School of Architecture, and Howard Hughes School of Engineering. He is a regular guest critique and lecturer in both Colleges.
Craig is a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) where he serves on the educational review committee, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) where he sits on the TOBY award committee and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in which he serves as Director of Emerging Professionals for the State of Nevada Executive Committee.
